### **Minimum Requirements:**
- **Grade 12 / Matric**
- **Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification**
- **Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)**
- **Experience with Unisolv**
- **Computer literacy (MS Office)**
- **Sound numerical skills**
- **Strong command of English and a second language**
- **Willingness to work retail hours**
### **Advantageous:**
- Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
- 3rd additional language
- Experience with SAP and E-Scripting
- Knowledge of drug and family planning, and complementary medicine
### **Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Assist with selling Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines.
- Compound, manipulate, or prepare non-sterile medicines according to approved formulas.
- Manage the manufacturing and re-packaging of non-sterile medicines.
- Control and distribute stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines.
- Order medicines and substances up to Schedule 6.
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately.
- Capture and verify patient details in the system.
- Provide medication instructions and health advice.
- Stay updated on medical aid procedures and ensure accurate claims.
- Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy and signed by a pharmacist.
- Assist patients at the dispensary and front-shop.
- Follow up on script tracking reports and appointments.
- Explain medical aid costs and promote health.
- Process paperwork for accurate medical aid claims.
- Correct errors on scripts rejected by medical aid.
- Ensure authorization of chronic, HIV, AIDS, and oncology medication.
- Maintain and manage customer profiles and stock levels.
- Conduct bi-annual stock takes and manage stock, cash, and asset control.
