### **Minimum Requirements:**
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Experience with Unisolv
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Sound numerical skills
- Proficiency in English and a second language
- Willingness to work retail hours
### **Advantageous:**
- Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations
- 3rd additional language
- Experience with SAP and E-Scripting
- Knowledge of drug and family planning, and complementary medicine
### **Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with the sale and preparation of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines or scheduled substances.
- Compound, manipulate, or prepare non-sterile medicines or scheduled substances under supervision.
- Manage the manufacturing and re-packaging of non-sterile medicines according to standard operating procedures.
- Control and distribute stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines or scheduled substances.
- Assist with ordering medicines and scheduled substances up to Schedule 6, as per instructions.
- Accurately interpret, prepare, and dispense prescriptions following the evaluation by a pharmacist.
- Capture and verify patient details accurately in the system.
- Provide instructions to patients on correct medication usage and advise on health-related queries.
- Stay updated on medical aid procedures, ensuring accurate claims and resolving errors.
- Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy and signed by a pharmacist.
- Maintain and manage customer profiles, stock levels, and carry out bi-annual stock takes.
