### **Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. **Assisting in Pharmacy Operations:**
- Perform services under the supervision of a pharmacist, including the sale of Schedule 1 and 2 medicines.
- Assist with the compounding, manufacturing, and repackaging of medicines according to approved procedures.
2. **Prescription Handling:**
- Read, prepare, and interpret prescriptions.
- Select, manipulate, and label medicines, ensuring they are supplied correctly after pharmacist evaluation.
3. **Customer Interaction:**
- Provide clear instructions to patients on the correct use of medicines.
- Assist customers at the dispensary, self-medication counter, and front-shop.
4. **Medical Aid Processing:**
- Submit claims to medical aids accurately and rectify any errors on rejected scripts.
- Ensure proper authorization for chronic, HIV/AIDS, and oncology medications.
5. **Stock Management:**
- Report low or out-of-stock levels and assist with stock takes.
- Maintain customer profiles and ensure accurate inventory management.
6. **Compliance and Housekeeping:**
- Adhere to Dis-Chem’s policies, health and safety regulations, and ensure proper housekeeping.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, including those related to stock and asset control.
