### **Minimum Requirements:**
#### **Essential:**

- **Qualification:** BPharm (4-year degree)

### **Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. **Pharmacist Assistant Role:**
- Provide services under the supervision of a pharmacist, including the sale of Schedule 1 and 2 medicines, compounding, manufacturing, and repackaging of medicines.
- Manage and control stock of Schedule 1 to 6 medicines.
2. **Prescription Management:**
- Read and prepare prescriptions, including selecting, manipulating, or compounding medicines.
- Label and supply medicines following the evaluation of prescriptions by a pharmacist.
3. **Customer Service:**
- Provide accurate instructions to patients regarding the use of medicines.
- Advise and assist customers at the dispensary, self-medication counter, and front-shop.
4. **Medical Aid Processing:**
- Ensure accurate submission of claims to medical aids and correct any errors on rejected scripts.
5. **Stock Management:**
- Report low or out-of-stock levels, assist with scheduled stock takes, and maintain customer profiles on the system.
6. **Compliance:**
- Adhere to Dis-Chem’s policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

- Proficiency in English and a second language
- Application of BPharm knowledge
- Good communication and listening skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Trustworthy, honest, and good time management
- Computer literate (MS Office)

- Knowledge of retail/FMCG operations
- A third additional language
- Knowledge of drug and family planning, and complementary medicine
