### **Job Purpose**:
As a **Shop Assistant/Cashier P27** at Soweto Bara 2205, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer shopping experience. Your duties will include stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping, and processing transactions efficiently at till points. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a high energy level who excels in a dynamic retail environment.
### **Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Assist customers in locating products and addressing queries or complaints.
2. **Cashier Duties**:
- Accurately process cash and card payments.
- Handle Lay-Bys and process customer refunds.
- Report discrepancies and issues to the supervisor and balance tills.
3. **Merchandising**:
- Ensure that stock is correctly priced and displayed on the sales floor.
- Monitor product availability and maintain store cleanliness.
- Keep up-to-date with current promotions and adjust displays as needed.
4. **Risk Management**:
- Ensure products are tagged according to company policy to prevent theft.
- Participate in stock takes and report any discrepancies.
- Remain vigilant for signs of theft or fraudulent activities and report to management.
5. **Compliance**:
- Consistently adhere to Ackermans' values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of your work.
### **Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
- **Essential**:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English (additional languages are beneficial).
- High energy levels, tenacity, and a strong motivation to achieve targets.
- **Preferred**:
- Previous retail experience.
