### **Minimum Requirements:**
#### **Essential:**
- **Education:**
- Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate
- Certificate or Diploma in Hairdressing
- **Experience:**
- Previous experience as a Hair Stylist
- **Knowledge:**
- Understanding of the chemical composition, properties, and processes of substances used in hairdressing
- Basic understanding of mathematics
### **Job Responsibilities:**
- **Client Services:**
- Analyze clients’ hair, facial features, and needs to determine beauty treatments.
- Advise clients on hair care needs and create hairstyles for formal events.
- Trim, cut, and shave hair, beards, mustaches, and sideburns using appropriate tools.
- Ensure accurate application of scalp massage techniques when washing clients' hair.
- **Technical Duties:**
- Adhere to proper application procedures when using styling tools and chemicals such as curlers, hot irons, hair color, dye, and tint.
- Attend supplier training and meetings as scheduled.
- Learn and perfect new hairstyles and techniques.
- **Client Interaction:**
- Greet and attend to clients in the salon, ensuring their comfort.
- Communicate with clients via email and telephone as needed.
- Provide advice on hair care products and promote salon services.
- **Salon Administration:**
- Perform general salon administration, including managing the appointment calendar and client records.
- Conduct regular stock takes of salon products and report on stock levels.
- **Sales and Promotion:**
- Demonstrate and sell styling products to clients.
- Promote services such as bleaching, conditioning, treatments, permanent waving, straightening, and tinting.

### **Special Conditions of Employment:**
