- Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate
- Relevant Architectural Technology Qualification (shop design and/or interior design)
- **Experience:**
- 2–5 years’ experience in architectural or interior design
- **Software Proficiency:**
- Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD
#### **Advantageous:**
- Experience in retail design projects
### **Job Responsibilities:**
#### **Project Design Management:**
- Draft plans, detailed drawings, and other specifications related to relevant projects.
- Draft and update store floor plans with the relevant lists of equipment provided.
- Produce detailed drawings that include building dimensions, required materials, and construction procedures.
- Organize and distribute all building plans, including development and building permits issued for construction.
- Ensure work completion in accordance with project specifications.
- Establish and maintain a Variations Register for authorized drawing revisions and cost changes, signed by the Project Manager.
#### **Project Management:**
- Compile and analyze shop drawings and other documentation for time scale, cost implications, material usage, and labor estimates.
- Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications to resolve technical differences.
- Review drawings, specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
- Use verification techniques to manage changes in project scope.
- Compile group specifications and reference drawings under the supervision of the Project Manager.
#### **Compliance & Risk Prevention:**
- Ensure designs comply with Good Pharmacy Practice and relevant legislation.
- Conduct detailed and accurate site checks on new stores and explore ways to improve workspace workflow, procedures, and infrastructures.
- Maintain current knowledge of national legislation on compliance regulations.
#### **Administration & Reporting:**
- Ensure office-related administration is kept in order, including sourcing of quotations and liaising with stores, especially during revamps.
- Record project issues and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain accurate schedules of site visits and order supplies.
- Report on variation of drawings/designs to management and ensure the timely completion of all allocated projects.
### **Competencies:**
#### **Essential:**
- Knowledge of SANS 0400 Building regulations and JBCC forms of contract.
- Ability to develop fresh ideas that provide solutions to workplace challenges.
- Clear vision and understanding of resources required to execute projects.
- Proficient in interpreting and using text or visual information in various formats.
- Ability to build constructive working relationships and demonstrate a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
- Strong drive to ensure quality is maintained, with attention to accuracy and order.
- Personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
### **Special Conditions of Employment:**

- Clear criminal and credit records (MIE).
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
