### **Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Ensure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed and that staff work within their scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with Good Pharmacy Practice rules and regulations.
- Manage and dispose of expired stock, ensuring it is separated from usable stock.
- Investigate and manage negative stock daily and prepare for stocktake in advance.
- Follow stock ordering processes to ensure maximum purchasing compliance and maintain stock levels.
- Secure Schedule 6 medication and maintain the register, ensuring it is balanced quarterly.
- Ensure SAPC registration and annual registration fees are up to date.
- Accurately interpret scripts, ensuring professional and responsible practice within SAPC legal requirements.
- Capture script details accurately and verify patient details on the system.
- Provide accurate instructions to patients on the correct use of medication.
- Stay updated on medical aid procedures, processing all paperwork for accurate claims submission.
- Authorize chronic, HIV, AIDS, and oncology medication, and maintain customer profiles.
- Train the Dispensary Admin Assistant and ensure they manage the bulk of the dispensary administration.

- Knowledge of Retail/FMCG operations

- Experience with Unisolv, SAP, and E-Scripting
- Knowledge of drug, family planning, and complementary medicine
### **Special Conditions of Employment:**
- Must be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
- Willingness and ability to work retail hours.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- South African citizenship with clear credit and criminal records.
