### **Minimum Requirements:**
#### **Essential:**
- **Education:** Grade 12 / Matric
- **Qualification:** BPharm or equivalent qualification
- **Registration:** Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- **Experience:** 2-3 years in the Pharmaceutical field, with retail pharmacy experience (Student/Intern)
- **Skills:** Computer literate (MS Office)

- Ability to speak a third language
- Experience with SAP and E-scripting
- Registered tutor

### **Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. **Pharmaceutical Care:**
- Assess and address patients' medicine-related needs.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medication.
2. **Dispensing:**
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately.
- Supervise and approve prescriptions prepared by assistants or interns.
3. **Patient Interaction:**
- Provide information and advice on medicine usage.
- Ensure patient compliance and follow-up as needed.
4. **Medicine Handling:**
- Oversee the compounding, packaging, and manufacturing of medicines.
- Manage the purchasing, storage, and distribution of medicines.
5. **Regulatory Compliance:**
- Ensure compliance with the Medicines Act and Pharmacy Act.
6. **Customer Service:**
- Assist customers in the dispensary and front-shop areas.
- Handle medical aid claims and explain costs to patients.
7. **Stock Management:**
- Report stock levels and errors, and facilitate stock takes.
- Assist in stock control processes.
8. **Administration:**
- Maintain customer profiles and assist with administrative tasks.
- Merge profiles and handle messages on customer profiles.
9. **Compliance and Housekeeping:**
- Adhere to Dis-Chem’s policies, health and safety regulations, and uniform standards.
